These files preserve earlier Forge concepts and specifications that led to the fresh-start design. They are useful evidence of how the design evolved, but they are not current truth.

When something in the archive conflicts with current docs, current docs win. If you discover a valuable archived idea missing from current design, treat it as a proposal and decide it explicitly rather than silently restoring old behavior.
